Alia appoints pioneer ES Benue edu quality assurance exams board.

Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, has approved the appointment of Dr. Terna Francis, KSM as the pioneer Executive Secretary of the Benue Education Quality Assurance and Examinations Board.

 

The governor said that the appointment is with immediate effect.

 

He explained that the establishment of the Benue Education Quality Assurance and Examinations Board follows the recent passage of a law by the Benue State House of Assembly merging the former Bureau for Education Quality Assurance and the defunct Benue State Examinations Board into a single, more robust institution.

 

A statement by chief press secretary to the governor, Tersoo Kula, this strategic merger underscores Governor Alia’s unwavering commitment to strengthening the education sector and ensuring that the Benue child receives holistic, high-quality, and competitive education that prepares them to excel anywhere in the world.

 

Governor Alia congratulated  Dr. Francis on this well-deserved appointment and charges him to bring his wealth of experience, integrity, and innovation to bear in repositioning the state’s educational assessment and quality assurance framework. 

 

He further enjoined the new helmsman to pursue excellence, transparency, and accountability in all his undertakings, in line with the administration’s vision for a renewed and results-driven education system.

 

Alia reiterated that education remains a top priority of his administration, emphasizing that the Board must serve as a catalyst for continuous improvement, discipline, and quality standards across all levels of learning in the state
