Benue Govt Alerts Public Over Counterfeit BIPC Bread, Adds New Security Features

The Management of Benue Investment and Property Company Limited (BIPC), has alerted the general public over what it describes as "unfortunate circulation of counterfeit versions of bipc bread products in the market.
BIPC in a statement by Joyce Isiaku,
Head, Corporate Communications on Tuesday, said in order to safeguard the company's valued consumers and ensure product integrity, BIPC has introduced enhanced security features on its bread wrappers.
She highlighted the security features to includes; a Bar Code Security Feature with a 13 digit serial number which can be scanned to verify authenticity.
Positive and Negative Sign Marks clearly displayed on the top right edge of the wrappers to distinguish genuine BIPC bread from counterfeit imitations.
The investment company strongly advised members of the public to be vigilant and always look out for those aforementioned features, and to scan the bar code before purchase or consumption to confirm the product’s authenticity.
