2027: Akume, Benue APC stakeholders pledge support for Tinubu, dedicate campaign office in Makurdi

The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, and some stakeholders of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Benue state, reaffirmed their support for President Bola Tinubu and call for unity within the North-central zone.

 

Akume said this at the commissioning of the Benue state headquarters of the Ahmed Bola Tinubu Support Group 2027 in Makurdi, the state capital.

 

Represented by Senator Jack Tilley Gyado, he urged the party faithful to rally behind Tinubu’s re-election bid, citing the president’s achievements in infrastructure, appointments, and human capital development in Benue.

 

“If you believe in him, he believes in you,” Gyado said on Akume’s behalf, calling for continued support and unity.

 

Gyado also described Akume as one of the “oracles” of the nation, declaring that his political foresight and loyalty to Tinubu are non-negotiable.

 

The Executive Director, Housing, Finance and Accounts, Federal Housing Authority of Nigeria, who is also the Chief Concerned /National Coordinator of the ABT Support Group 2027, the Hon terwase Mathias Byuan phD,commended Tinubu for his developmental strides not only in Nigeria but also in the state.

 

Byuan, a governorship aspirant appreciated Tinubu’s commitment to national inclusivity and development through your Renewed Hope Agenda.

 

“This is demonstrated through the appointment of our son, Senator Dr. George Akume, CON as the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) and the inclusion of other capable persons of Benue in various federal appointments.

 

“A.B.T Support Group celebrates the many infrastructure strides recorded in Benue state and Nigeria at large through His Excellency, President Ahmed Bola Tinubu’s visionary leadership and direction, laying the foundation for long-term socio-economic growth.

 

“Ahmed Bola Tinubu (A.B.T) support Group 2027 pledges total support through the door-to-door mobilisation of youth, women and the elderly towards your re-election bid in 2027,” he added.

 

Speaking on behalf of the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, Senator Titus Zam praised Tinubu’s bold reforms, including the removal of fuel subsidies, which he said had empowered state governments financially.

 

He hinted at Dr. Matthias Byuan’s growing political influence, suggesting he could play a key role in 2027 by contesting for Governorship.

 

Federal lawmaker, Dickson Tarkighir, commended the visible development strides under Tinubu’s administration and urged youths and women to shun political violence.
